Member Highlight: Meet Carolyn Connelly of Tala Med

September 9, 2026

WEBA: Hi Ms. Connelly, nice to meet you and excited to learn more about Tala Med.

CAROLYN CONNELLY: Happy to be here and thank you for featuring me!

WEBA: So tell us about your business: what is your primary product or service, what makes it unique, and where does
your passion for this work come from?

CAROLYN CONNELLY: Our primary service is to enhance natural features and empower inner confidence through
injectables, lasers, skincare, and advanced aesthetic devices. Tala is unique in that ALL our concierge style treatment plans
are curated by advanced healthcare providers (RNS, APRNS, & MDs) educated on the latest and most effective aesthetic
treatments. Our providers bring expertise in science and the art of aesthetics. Tala’s passion is to help each client enjoy the
skin they’re in. When you look good on the outside, it naturally helps you feel good on the inside.

WEBA: Absolutely! And nice to see the priority of thoroughly trained providers. So far, what would you say has been the
biggest challenge you’ve faced in the business world?

JCAROLYN CONNELLY: With countless treatments and technologies entering the aesthetics market, we take a
discerning approach separating what is proven to work from the latest gimmicks and passing trends. We’re not interested
in keeping up with the competition or offering something simply because it’s new. We stay focused on what we know works.

WEBA: No need to reinvent something that already works well, kind of like tried-and-true business practices. Who or
what has been your strongest source of support for keeping a successful business running, and what is your best
networking advice?

CAROLYN CONNELLY: Our clients are our greatest advocates and our strongest source of support. Their trust in us is
what continues to move the business forward. One of the best lessons we’ve learned about networking is to stay actively
involved in the community and build genuine relationships with other providers.

WEBA: Focusing on client and partner relationships is so important, and a great reminder for any business owner. What
is one major business goal you are focused on achieving in the next 12 months?

CAROLYN CONNELLY: Our goal is to expand Tala and become a trusted, recognizable destination for aesthetic care
throughout the DMV. We’d like Tala to be a name our community knows and consistently recommends.

WEBA: Well we certainly hope to assist you in meeting that goal!  What is the most rewarding part of running your
business here in Alexandria?

CAROLYN CONNELLY: We love the opportunity to care for people throughout Alexandria from all different
backgrounds and walks of life. Getting to know our clients and building genuine, trusting relationships with them is one of
the most rewarding parts of what we do. We want everyone who walks through our doors to feel welcomed, understood, and
truly cared for.

WEBA: We imagine cultivating trust is such an important element of the work you do. How has being a member of WEBA
benefited your business or connected you with the community?

CAROLYN CONNELLY: Being a member of WEBA has helped the Tala Tribe become a familiar presence in the
community while building meaningful relationships with other local businesses.

WEBA: That is one of our main goals so we are happy to hear that has been your experience! Thank you very much for
spending some time with us today. One last question, just for fun: What celebrity would you most like to patronize your
business?

CAROLYN CONNELLY: The local celebrity we’d love to have, has already visited Tala—but we have to keep our clients’
lives discreet.
