Sheriff Casey and the men and women of the Alexandria Sheriff’s Office, along with our community partners at the West End Business Association, invite the community to the Second Annual Patrick Henry/Polk Halloween Parade!
The parade will be held on Saturday, October 17, and will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. at the rear of Patrick Henry Elementary School. Participants will walk from Patrick Henry to Polk Elementary School via Polk Avenue, then return to the field at the front of the school, where we will announce our Halloween costume contest winners.
The West End Business Association will provide judges to select the winners and will award gift cards to local businesses.
We encourage everyone to come out, join the fun, and don your best Halloween costume! Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:
- Best Overall Costume
- Best Family Costume
- Best Pet Costume
We are encouraging everyone in the community to participate and help make this a fun-filled afternoon for families, children, and neighbors.
After the parade, the celebration will continue with the Spooky Mad Science Expo, one of the year’s most exciting STEAM events! The expo will give children and families a chance to explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics through fun, hands-on activities.
Come dressed in your favorite Halloween costume, bring your family and friends, and join us for an afternoon filled with Halloween fun, community spirit, and science!
The parade will kick off promptly at 2:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!
