Member Highlight: Meet Tim Biddle of Custom Business Sales

June 3, 2026

WEBA: Hi Mr. Biddle, thanks for taking the time to speak with us.

TIM BIDDLE:
Thank you for the including me in your member highlights!

WEBA: Very happy to be able to.  So, tell us about your business: what is your primary product or service, what
makes it unique, and where does your passion for this work come from?

TIM BIDDLE:
As a business broker, I help owners sell their businesses and assist buyers in acquiring them. I love
being a business broker because I not only get to learn about new businesses and industries but also enjoy helping
small business owners monetize the value of the their business when they’re ready to move on to the next phase of
their lives.

WEBA: Learning about that many industries must be so interesting, and it sounds like very rewarding work.
What has been the biggest challenge you have faced in the business world?

TIM BIDDLE:
The business world is very broad with numerous potential areas of focus. It took time to determine
the best application of my skills and interests.

WEBA: Perhaps a question that was in part solved with guidance and connection with others. Who or what has
been the strongest source of support for running a successful business, and what is your best networking advice?

TIM BIDDLE:
Never underestimate the value of networking because it’s exponential. Every person you meet
knows 100 other people so the odds of getting a referral are directly correlated with the amount of relevant
networking you do.

WEBA: Such a great perspective! Looking forward, what is one major business goal you are focused on
achieving in the next 12 months?

TIM BIDDLE:
I am a sole practitioner and want to leverage the power of AI as much as possible as a business
development tool.

WEBA: These new tools can definitely be helpful when used responsibly! What is the most rewarding part of
running your business here in Alexandria?

TIM BIDDLE:
Alexandria has a thriving and mutually supportive small business community with all kinds of
networking opportunities focused on small business development.

WEBA: Well we certainly agree. How has being a member of WEBA benefited your business or connected you
with the community?

TIM BIDDLE:
WEBA networking events are very well-attended and have put me in touch with like-minded
business professionals who assist one another with referrals, introductions, ideas, etc.

WEBA: So happy to hear the events have been beneficial for you. One last question, just for fun: what’s one
business or community amenity that you’d love to see added to the West End?

TIM BIDDLE:
Periodic emails inquiring about services members are seeking for themselves or others. This
information could be aggregated onto some kind of web page. Or maybe some kind of discounted access to online
sources of information that members can use for marketing purposes (e.g., Apollo.io, any of the AI apps like Chat
GPT, etc.).

WEBA: Very compelling ideas, Mr. Biddle. Perhaps someone reading this will be inspired to make that happen!
