The Standing Committees Chairs will report to the Board at a frequency determined by the President and will submit a summary report to the President upon request and prior to the Annual Meeting. All committees are open to all WEBA members, and they do not need to be on the board to participate on committees.
The following shall be the Standing Committees:
Executive
Purpose: Composed of WEBA Board members, this committee provides strategic advice and guidance to the Board on management issues.

Membership
Purpose: The Membership Committee supports the mission, vision, core purpose, and strategic plan of the West End Business Association (WEBA). The committee drives growth and connection across three key areas: Recruitment, Engagement, and Retention.

- Diverse Representation: Strive to represent a broad spectrum of industries and business sizes, ensuring WEBA delivers continuous value to all member types.
- Program Optimization: Provide constructive feedback on WEBA programming to maintain high-quality benefits for the community.
- Active Advocacy: Attend WEBA events and bring prospective members as guests to demonstrate the value of membership firsthand.

Purpose: The Treasurer & Finance Committee oversees WEBA’s financial health by managing accounts payable, processing income, and maintaining accurate records. Working closely with our accounting firm, the committee ensures precise monthly balance sheets and provides clear financial reports at each board meeting.

Local Government Affairs
Purpose & Role: The Local Government Affairs Chair serves as the primary liaison between the West End Business Association (WEBA) and Alexandria city officials. In this role, Paul monitors local municipal developments, advocates for policies that support West End businesses, represents WEBA on city advisory groups, and organizes community policy forums to ensure our business community has a strong voice in local government decisions.
